Since 2001, I've done my claywork in the garage studio my husband built. This allowed me to continue working while raising our son, Nicholas, born in 2003. A small portion of our large storage garage just down the road is now a second studio space, where I will teach, and host group events. Both studios are surrounded by pastureland and woods. At home I can step outside to watch birds visit our pond, or the occasional horse, cow or wild turkey meander by. Behind the garage annex lies a woods path with ample wild blueberries tucked among the trees.
My functional stoneware is fired in a large electric kiln, which preserves the bright and vivid colors of my signature glazes. The work is durable, non-toxic, and safe for use in the oven, microwave or dishwasher, provided sudden temperature changes are avoided. Enjoy!
